Cannes Yachting Festival
Where: Opening the international boating season for the past 38 years, Europe’s leading boat show held in France features an area of 310,000m² across three exhibition spaces: the Vieux Port, Port Pierre Canto, and – for the first time this year – La Terrasse.
When: 6-11 September
Why: Every September, the glamorous bay of Cannes acts as a spectacular backdrop for an exhibition of the latest models by the world’s leading yacht brands. This year is your opportunity to be among the 50,000+ visitors and admire close to 600 boats in one superb location.
What to see and do: Among this year’s festival highlights, the Concours d’élégance which takes place on September 8 in the scenic Vieux Port, will feature motorboats and day-boats of up to 12 metres competing for prestigious and highly coveted awards.
Southampton Boat Show
Where: Mayflower Park & Town Quay, Southampton, UK
When: 16-25 September
Why: This year, the UK's largest purpose-built show marina will host over 500 exhibitors – with more than 300 of these displaying their latest innovations afloat.
What to see and do: The attractions for the 2016 edition, said to be the best one to date, will include the Try a Boat experience, which will be open to all visitors; as well as fashion shows and performances happening on the Festival Stage. But perhaps the most highly anticipated activity will be the Guinness World Record attempt to create a picture of a boat featuring visitors at the show!
Monaco Yacht Show
Where: Since its beginnings back in 1991, this yearly appointment with the world of luxury superyachts has been taking place inside Monaco’s iconic Port Hercules.
When: 28 September – 1 October
Why: Around 125 stunning superyachts will be on display and 40 new products premiered by top brands at the 26th edition of this annual world-class yachting show.
